Tier 1 — Integrity Critics (academic cohort brief)

Haya, Cullenward, West, Trexler, Sills, Lezak, Reinhard, Planavsky

Trellison Institute is building a reference implementation of per-tonne evidentiary disclosure — a proof pack — that maps directly to the published critique each of you has made of current carbon-market architecture. The purpose of this pack is to invite methodology critique, offer alpha access, and propose joint implementation or replication work.

We are not asking for endorsement. We are asking for methodology critique, and we will publish negative evaluations of our tooling alongside positive ones on the same surface.

What a proof pack contains: - Methodology attestation (per-project, signed, source-traceable) - Sensor / measurement data (time-series, with uncertainty budgets) - Dollar-per-ton cost decomposition (capex, opex, energy, material, MRV cost) - Environmental-impact ledger (land, water, pollutants, permanence) - Co-benefit ledger (where quantifiable) - Independent verification pathway (replication package + audit hooks) - Governance disclosure (operator, conflicts, subsidies)

What we propose, by collaboration mode: 1. Joint replication paper on an existing quality-audit study (West REDD+, Haya cookstove, Sills cookstove, Cullenward legal-economic) using proof-pack outputs as the input data. 2. Methodology advisor role on Trellison's standing board (compensated honorarium, full disclosure). 3. Alpha-access agreement: proof-pack instrumentation at a field site you nominate, with data available for your own research. 4. Co-authored implementation paper (Reinhard & Planavsky 2026 in npj Climate Action as the design specification; proof packs as the reference implementation).
